A Secret Escape!

I just love exploring new places, trying new foods and experiencing new cultures but all of this can be very expensive, and we only get so many holiday days a year, that’s why I just love mini weekend breaks so much. Just escaping day to day life!
It’s almost like a teaser, it can make you love a city or place even more and often leaves you wanting to go back for more!
A few weekends ago I decided it was time to get away however I didn’t have much money spare, having just been Christmas, so a weekend away was a perfect choice. My Auntie and Uncle have a lovely little flat in Norfolk where they very kindly let me stay!
They have the most gorgeous little kitchen featuring our Premium Classic Travertine and some very on trend metro tiles, very much like our brand new Bianco Carrara C Honed Marble Metro tiles. Their whole flat has been newly renovated and looks fantastic! I’m now regretting not taking more photos to show you!
We headed to Norfolk straight after work to make the most of the weekend, that night we had a lovely meal and a few drinks at this little wine bar in Hunstanton called Chives.
After a bit of a lie in on Saturday morning, we headed to Thornham Deli for breakfast. It’s just the best deli – a great menu, in the perfect setting, with reasonable prices and my favourite Illy coffee, what more could you ask for?! It also has a gift shop, so after our breakfast and coffee we spent the morning browsing all of the lovely gifts and furnishings.
On Saturday afternoon we visited Wells Next to Sea and on Saturday evening we had a lovely meal at the Orange tree in Thornham. Sunday was spent walking along Holkham beach followed by a hot drink at the Victoria Hotel (also in Holkham).
Norfolk is a lovely part of the country and was the perfect secret escape!
