Planks & Parquet – Finished Projects
21st May 2019
We introduced our Planks & Parquet range two years ago now and we are still just as in love with it now as we were back then! It has also proven to be extremely popular with our customers and recently we have been lucky enough to receive some beautiful images of our customers’ finished projects so I thought I would share a small selection of them with you.
Our Beaumanor Oak Parquet is full of rich brown tones with a lot of knot and grain detail throughout the blocks. The slightly tumbled edge gives a very vintage feel to a room and it is certainly a look our customers adore.
These customers opted for our Beaumanor Oak to complement their brand-new kitchen by our sister company, deVOL Kitchens, painted in their very popular Pantry Blue colour and the two really do go hand-in-hand.
We also had a customer who recently sent us an image of their Beaumanor Oak Parquet and they have very creatively used the blocks for a step in their house to make the most out of the parquet. They have then used our Beaumanor stain to finish the edge of the step to give a seamless finish.
Our Beaumanor Oak has also been used in this gorgeous kitchen which is flooded by light thanks to the beautiful glass doors at the back of the room which gives such a light and airy feel to this family kitchen.
And finally proving that you don’t have to have the biggest kitchen for it to be truly special! We love the combination of dark blue cabinets, pink wall and our Beaumanor Oak in this gorgeous room.
Our Chatsworth Oak has also proven to be very popular with our customers due to its warm appearance. These blocks have been treated with an ageing oil to provided added warmth and it also enhances the knot and grain detail running through the parquet blocks.
A beautiful kitchen and dining/living space laid with our Chatsworth Oak Parquet throughout. The parquet really complements the deeper blue shades of the kitchen cabinets and the white walls help to keep the space nice and light as natural light is slightly limited in this space.
They even managed to create this lovely little border around the perimeter of the room.
Another of our customers has recently sent in some images of our Chatsworth Oak Parquet which they have installed in their cosy new kitchen. The mix of the lighter and darker cabinet shades both really work the warmth of the Chatsworth blocks and gives a real traditional feel to this space and again it goes to show that you don’t need a huge kitchen to have a parquet floor!
Our Hambleton Oak planks have slightly burned edges and some even have a slightly burned appearance to the surface which really strengthens the impression of a time-worn floor so works perfectly in a more traditional setting. Our planks come in generous lengths of up to 2200mm, with some shorter lengths ranging down to 1000mm, to create a truly beautiful finish.
When we received these images of our Hambleton Oak flooring, it was the first time we had seen this product in a kitchen environment and we were certainly not disappointed with the results! The kitchen featured alongside our flooring is by our sister company, deVOL Kitchens and it is painted in their distinctive Trinity Blue colour which really complements the warm tones of the oak flooring.
Not only did these customers lay our Hambleton Oak throughout their generous kitchen space, but they also chose to lay it in their entrance hall against this built-in pantry cupboard, again by deVOL Kitchens, painted in their delicate Old Rose colour. What a welcoming you would have when walking into this stunning home!
Our Prestwold Oak Parquet is a little different to our other parquet blocks as it gives a slightly more modern twist to a traditional floor with its lighter blonde tones. This parquet flooring is semi-finished so it is finished with our nude hardwax oil making it perfectly practical for use throughout the home.
I was recently delighted by some images that a customer of mine sent to me of their Prestwold Oak Parquet installed throughout their hallway and I instantly fell in love with what I saw.
The mushroom coloured panelling works perfectly against the champagne tones of the parquet flooring.
