Introducing our Vitelli Porcelain Range

15th January 2025

By Katie Beresford

Our Vitelli range was added to our portfolio throughout last year and has proven to be very popular! At present, chequered tiles are a very sought after design so we were very excited to introduce these beautiful Italian tiles to our porcelain range. These are my favourite porcelain tiles as they have so much to offer with different styles, colours and textures, together with the intricate detailing that provide a timeless, classic look.

The much-desired chequered pattern predates any recorded history, spanning across many cultures and time periods, and is even found in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. It particularly rose in popularity during the Renaissance period, with famous examples such as the Doge’s Palace in Venice, home to a beautiful black and white marble chequered floor, showcasing the most amazing Venetian architecture.

To this day, chequered patterns are still very popular, with modern designs embracing contrasting colours and graphic layouts. With such a vast history, this pattern can be sure to never go out of style. With this in mind, we are only too happy to supply as much choice as possible to make this quintessential classic a perfect addition to your home.

Vitelli Classic Chequered Porcelain

These tiles replicate the look of a worn marble floor in all its beauty, with their textured surface and tumbled edge, this combination of our Vitelli Ivory Porcelain and Vitelli Charcoal Porcelain capture the look of a natural stone perfectly. The occasional white veining that can be seen on the Vitelli Charcoal tiles make these a perfect alternative to a real marble, providing the same enchanting look with the very minimal upkeep that a porcelain tile requires.

Vitelli Light Chequered Porcelain

Akin to our very popular Coralli Chequered porcelain, these tiles display the same beautiful colours as the Coralli but hold the beauty of a natural stone with their chalky textured surface and tumbled edges. We have paired our Vitelli Ivory and Vitelli Sand Porcelain to create this beautiful chequerboard, these tiles are a perfect option if you are looking for a more subtle appearance, with soft, warm neutral tones to suit an array of colour schemes.

Vitelli Terracotta Chequered Porcelain

If you are looking for something a bit different to stand out in your home, our Vitelli Terracotta Chequer certainly does that! With the vibrant mix of red and orange sunset tones in the Vitelli Terracotta, this gives a modern twist to the classic chequerboard design. We have paired these with our Vitelli Ivory Porcelain to create this beautiful look that suit any kitchen or hallway perfectly.

All three of these amazing, chequered patterns are available in a very desirable 400mm x 400mm x 10mm size, and are priced at just £48 per m². There is no need to work out how much you would need of each colour, just let us know the m² required for the size of your room and our warehouse will pick the correct number of boxes for each colour.

If you love the look of our Vitelli tiles but only desire one single colour, that is not a problem! These tiles can be purchased separately, giving you even more choice to create the perfect look for your home.

Vitelli Classic Octagon Porcelain

Our latest edition to the Vitelli range is the Vitelli Classic Octagon Porcelain.

The chalky texture of the Vitelli Ivory tiles, paired with our compact Vitelli Charcoal Octagon pieces provide a sleek, vintage look that suit any room in any home. The tiles hold a lead time of approximately 3-4 weeks as they are made to order, so once these are ready for dispatch we will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery date. These are currently priced at £90 per m² and are a worth-while investment to give your home a luxurious, vintage appearance.

This design is often seen in glorious stately homes, such as Knebworth Manor*, a grade II listed property with its most famous resident being Edward Bulwer-Lytton (1803–1873), the Victorian author, dramatist and statesman. This simple, neat but flawless design is an excellent choice if you are looking to give your home a lavish appearance and impress all who visit.

*Please note, the flooring in Knebworth Manor is not our Vitelli Classic Octagon Porcelain, this is only to showcase where this beautiful design can be found.

We hope you feel inspired by our new range and if you have any queries or would like any further information, our sales team are on hand via telephone or email and are eager to help with your upcoming renovation projects, so please do get in touch.
