deVOL Kitchens was founded in 1989 by two design graduates from Loughborough University; Philip deVries and Paul O’Leary. What started as a small business renovating antique furniture and designing and making bespoke furniture, has now blossomed into a leading manufacturer of bespoke kitchens, interiors and bathrooms; all of which are designed and built in Leicestershire, England. With an ever growing client base, a natural progression for deVOL was to establish a sister company who could provide natural stone flooring to its customers; as a result Floors of Stone was created in 2007.
Today at Floors of Stone, we offer a wide selection of natural stone and porcelain tiles at highly competitive prices, which perfectly partner with deVOL’s beautiful kitchens. Whenever a new range of tiles is introduced, we think carefully about how they will sit against deVOL’s furniture, ensuring it is something their customers would love and that they complement the deVOL colour range.
No better example could be found than this stunning deVOL Shaker Kitchen combined with our 610×406 Light Tumbled Travertine tiles, laid in a traditional brick bond pattern.
The Light Tumbled Travertine is a highly popular choice amongst our customers; as the neutral tones beautifully complement a wide range of colour schemes. Jon Dennis is the lucky owner of this stunning kitchen, its completion marks an end to his two and half year long house renovation. Jon sent a variety of photos which display this perfect partnership. The pale ivory to beige tones and chalky appearance of the Light Tumbled Travertine tiles match perfectly to the mushroom coloured units of the Shaker kitchen. Furthermore, the classically worn look of the tiles, with natural pits and tumbled edges complete the kitchen with warmth and a natural aged, rustic feel.
We love the calming colour palette of this kitchen, and the sun streaming in through the skylight enhances the subtle colour variation and textures of the stone. An amazing space to cook and entertain, we’re sure they’ll get many years of enjoyment from their new kitchen.
Both Floors of Stone and deVOL can be found under the same roof at our showroom at Cotes Mill in Loughborough. Examples of all of our products are on show, whilst the full range of deVOL Kitchens can also be found across the four floors of the mill.
