Galatea Porcelain

I am so excited to introduce you all to a brand new range of tiles we have been working on recently and I am so pleased to finally share these with you. We wanted to find a porcelain tile that could be used both internally and externally as we know our customers really like a seamless transition from inside to outside. With spring only around the corner and the clocks going forward in just a couple of weeks, we know this is when people start to close the door on inside and begin work on the outdoor spaces ready to sit back and enjoy during those long summer days and warm evenings. So, here it is – our Galatea Porcelain!
First up within this range we have our Galatea Chalk Porcelain. This beautiful, pale tile has a chalky appearance with pale grey undertones so it would work well in areas of the home you wish to make feel nice and light. The neutral tones of this porcelain mean it would suit a wide range of interiors. As I mentioned earlier in this blog, we were so keen to find a tile that could also be used externally so the beauty of this tile is that it can be followed out onto an external patio area to give you one large open-plan kitchen/dining/living space.
We understand that light colours are not for everybody so within this range we have also introduced our Galatea Marl Porcelain which has a slightly more industrial feel in mind. The dark grey tones of this tile make it a more practical option for busy family environments. The tiles have occasional flecking detail in them to add further interest but keeps them looking nice and subtle at the same time. Much like the Galatea Chalk Porcelain, this tile can be used externally as we stock a 20mm option for outdoor use. The tiles have a very tactile surface so even on the rainiest of days, the tiles have a really good grip to them meaning you don’t have to worry about them becoming slippery.
We actually had a customer who was interested in our Galatea Marl Porcelain before we even launched them which was music to our ears! Once they had laid their brand new tiles, we were lucky enough that they sent us some images straight away so I just had to share them with you!
As soon as we received these images, we knew we had chosen the right tiles to add to our range as they turned out even better than we had envisaged them to look! The dark, anthracite grout lines really showcase the neat edges of the tile and adds such a beautiful contrast against the tones of the porcelain.
Within this range, we stock a wide variety of sizes ranging from small rectangular tiles to a large format 1200×600, as shown in the images above, so there is something to suit every project, whether it be a small downstairs toilet or a large, open-plan space. As well as the practicality and versatility of these tiles, they are also an absolute bargain! The tiles start from just £22 per m2 so you don’t have to stretch your budget to get a gorgeous floor.
