I love to see a plan come together!

So, I have been working here, at Floors Of Stone Ltd, for almost five months now and just one of the many things I love about my job is getting to know the customers and their projects. It is always really interesting when they begin to explain about their property and you can start to get an understanding about the character of the house, and knowing which stone would suit that style best.
When customers come into our showroom, or speak to us on the phone, it is quite hard to imagine what their rooms look like, however you can begin to get an inkling. But, without a doubt, my favourite part is seeing a project come together and actually being able to see their property for the first time and recently I have been lucky enough to see various different customer’s completed looks.
I was delighted when a customer sent me across some beautiful photographs of their completed kitchen, with a new kitchen being installed as well as their flooring. They chose our Umbrian Limestone in the 560xFL size, giving them some variations in the length for more of a random appearance as opposed to a standard set sized tile. Our Umbrian Limestone is predominantly grey in its colour but has some gorgeous green and yellow tones running throughout, giving it that natural stone look.
As their photograph shows, the stone has a very worn and textured look, which suits the style of the kitchen and wooden beams running along the ceiling, perfectly. The rustic island in the kitchen really shows off the riven, worn look of the Umbrian Limestone and the warm tones really complement the dark blue kitchen units.
The same customer did not only transform their kitchen, but also made this stunning dining/living area as well. Their tiler has very cleverly cut the limestone to make these small steps leading up to their dining/living area. I mean how lovely does this look? The amount of natural light entering this space, really brightens up the room and shows off the limestone perfectly.
And I just thought I would share one final photograph of this lovely project with you. A wonderful, cosy space to sit and relax by the log burner, reading a few magazines or newspapers. What a perfect way to spend any evening!
