Happy New Year from everyone here at Floors Of Stone!

As it is the New Year we enter one of our busiest periods, helping our customers to decide on which tiles are best suited for their New Years project.

We thought it would be helpful to blog about some of our best selling tiles across each range that we offer.

First up we have Quarry Tiles, these tend to be used in kitchens to give a homely traditional feel to a project. Within Quarry Tiles at the moment people are taking a real interest in the Adobe. The main appeal for this is the delicate tones which are not normally associated with a traditional Quarry Tile.

Next is probably our highest selling range the Travertine. Within Travertine people are drawn towards the Silver Tumbled Travertine. The density of this stone combined with the rich mixture of colours makes this tile very similar to a Marble but at a much lower cost.

Our third category is the ever luxurious Marble range, in particular the opulent Silver Shadow Honed Marble. Delicate grey hues with the soft honed finish has seen this Marble to be a staple in high end design.

Limestone is very on trend in recent years. With the demand so high for all Limestones it is difficult to pick a front runner, at present the below Tumbled Antiqued Ash may have a slight lead (probably helped by the amazing price is is currently on offer at!)

Slate is always though of as a traditional stone, mainly used in breakfast rooms and kitchens. Our Black Farmhouse Flagstone fits perfectly into the traditional category, the large format of the tiles in conjunction with the dramatic antiqued edging means this Slate is a timeless classic for any traditional project.

Porcelain is a relatively new phenomenon in the world of home deco, our cheap prices as well as our every expanding range has seen Porcelain become a firm favourite with our customers. All our Porcelains give a beautiful sleek look with the front runner being the Light Grey. The Light Grey gives a minimalist finish, it ticks all the boxes for current trends with sleek lines and gentle greys which will give any project a burst of life.

So which ever type of tile you are leaning towards for your New Years project our Floors Of Stone sales team are ready and able to offer custom advice to ensure that your New Years project is suited to you.
