Our new home – a work in progress.

2014 is going to be an exciting year for Floors of Stone. Established in 2007, Floors of Stone and the whole deVOL group have grown year on year and we have outgrown our Jubilee Drive premises. We purchased Cotes Mill, a well renowned local landmark in November 2012 and it has undergone substantial refurbishment to create an idyllic destination for our customers.
Our sister company, deVOL kitchens moved across in early 2013 and opened its doors to customers in February. It is a beautiful setting for our bespoke, shaker and air range kitchens. The Mill has a relaxed atmosphere about the place, you don’t need to be in the market for a new kitchen to visit, simply come and browse the unique furniture, antiques and gifts.
Renovations have continued throughout this year and we now have a vast extension on the front of the Mill, one side houses a kitchen workshop, whilst the other side will be our new home.
Floors of Stone will have the luxury of a 150m2 showroom with natural light flooding in and stunning features such as the original water wheel which we just had to keep on display. The showroom is currently being tiled; we selected our Light Jerusalem Tumbled Limestone in a 600×900 format to suit the large open space. We will also be fitting a limestone spiral staircase like no other in the UK.
The showroom, once completed will have natural stone floor displays throughout and views of the gardens and mill pond. The staff are very excited to make the move, as it will make a big difference to the one small window we currently have to the outside world! We can’t wait to have a showroom to be proud of and will keep you posted as to when we can finally invite you to our new stone flooring showroom.
